21 years for Ex-FATA, Gilgit Baltistan, AJK and Balochistan
Educational Qualification
i. 55% Marks in FSc or O/A Levels with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
ii. Result awaited students having 60% Marks in FSc Part 1 or A Levels Part 1 can also apply. They have to submit hope certificate signed by the head of College / Institute.
Selection Procedure
i. Entrance test will be conducted at Abbotabad, Gwadar, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Muzaffarabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Sukkur through Hired Testing Services (HTS).
ii. Minimum 45% marks are required to qualify in enterance test.
iii. Medical Examination of short listed candidates will be conducted at designated Army / Navy / PAF Hospitals.
iv. Final selection will be done in order of merit which include final interview and PET.

Educational Training and Degree / Certificates Awarded
i. 2 years residental training at PMA
ii. Associate degree in Nautical Science and Marine Engineering by NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi.
iii. Certificate of IMO recognized Pre-Sea mandatory courses.

Scholarships
- 37 fully paid scholarships are offered to Cadets
- 33 need based scholarships are sponsored by Ministry of Maritime Affairs

Ineligibility
i. Submitting tampered Educational certifciates.
ii. Submitting incomplete application or false information.
iii. Withdrawn from any academy / training institution including that of Armed Forces on disciplinary grounds.
iv. Dismissed / Removed / Debarred / Resigned from Government Service including Armed Forces.
v. Convicted by a court of law for offence involving moral turpitude.
vi. Declared medically unfit by an Armed Forces hospital / Appeal Medical Board.
Bank Draft
Submit Application Form along with pay order / bank draft of Rs 2500 in favor of Pakistan Marine Academy, Karachi, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), PMA Branch Code 0239. Cadidates apply under Self Finance Scheme (SFS) are to submit additional pay order / bank draft of Rs 300,000 along with the Application Form.
