Eligibility

Unmarried Male citizens of Pakistan.

Age on 1-July-2020

Civilian Candidates: 16-1/2 – 21 years

Service Candidates: 17-23 years (Armed Forces in Uniform Only)

Educational Qualification

The candidate must have passed both Matric and FSc or O/A Level with at least 60% Marks with any of the following subjects.

Physics, Maths, and Chemistry
Physics, Maths, and Computer Science
Physics, Maths, and Statistics

Candidates of O/A Level are required to submit equivalence certificate.

FSc/A-Level part-II appearing candidate with at least 65% marks in part-I can also apply. However, they have to provide hope certificate from the head of the respective College/Institute.

Selection Procedure

i. Entrance Test will commence w.e.f 13-November-2019.

ii. E-Testing/Computer-based test will be conducted in the following subjects

Intelligence Test
Academic Test (English, Maths, Physics and General Knowledge)

iii. The exact date for the entrance test would be intimated to each individual through SMS by respective PNR&SC.

iv. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Preliminary Medical/Interview and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET) at respective PNR&SC. The PET standards are as under

Running: One Mile (1.6 km) in 8:30 minutes
Push-ups: 10 repetitions in 2 minutes
Sit-ups: 10 repetitions in 2 minutes
Chin-ups: 2 repetitions in 2 minutes

v. Application forms will be issued to those candidates who qualify Preliminary Medical and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET).

vi. Only qualified candidates as per the merit would be called for Test/Interview at ISSB.

vii. Medical Examination of ISSB recommended candidates would be held at the nearest CMH/Naval Hospital.

viii. Final selection by Naval Headquarters on merit.

Note

The candidates are advised to get Ears Waxed and Teeth cleaned by a specialist doctor prior to reporting for medical examination.

Future Prospects

Grant of permanent commission after two years of training in one of the following degrees shall be awarded upon successful completion of basic training.

Operations Branch: BS (Maritime Sciences)

Marine Engineering Branch: BE (Mechanical)

Weapon Engineering Branch: BE (Electrical)

Supply Branch: BS (Supply Chain Management)

Note

Subject to aptitude and academic progress, selected officers may be sent abroad for MSc and Ph.D.

Ineligibility for Pak Navy Jobs 2019

i. Twice rejected by ISSB or GHQ/NHQ/AHQ selection board or once rejected by ISSB and once by GHQ/NHQ/AHQ selection board.

ii. Twice screened out at ISSB.

iii. PUF by AMB (permanently declared UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board).

iv. Tested within four months (120 days) gap of previous appearance (for not recommended candidates).

v. Tested within one year validity period (As the validity of ISSB/GHQ/AHQ Selection Board stands for one year) for recommended candidates.

vi. Withdrawn from any Academy/Training Institution of Armed Forces on any ground.

vii. Withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces college/institution on disciplinary grounds.

viii. Dismissed/removed/debarred from Govt Services including Armed Forces.

ix. Convicted in a Court of Law for an offense involving moral turpitude.

x. Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B&C (AMB cannot be requested).

xi. Declared unfit by any Armed Forces Hospital except those cleared by Appeal Medical Board.

xii. The candidature of a candidate who will temper his/her academic certificates, conceal or give wrong information to gain an undue advantage will be canceled and declared permanently ineligible for all types of commission in the Armed Forces.

xiii. Candidates holding dual Nationalities unless they surrender the same prior to commissioning/passing out or within the period of 6 months of joining PN whichever is earlier.
