Qualification Required
- FSc Pre-Engineering with minimum 65% marks (including 20 marks for NCC) and A level passed in Mathematics, Physica, and Chemistry in Grades 1-6/A-C.
- Candidates with FSc / equivalent qualifications with a combination of Mathematics, Physics, and Computer studies or Computer Science can apply for all engineering programs.
- Candidates can also apply on a Hope certificate of 65% marks duly issued by the Head of the institution. FSc final result card/mark sheet must be submitted within one week of the announcement of the result otherwise candidates will not be considered in final merit and those candidates who obtain less than 65% marks in FSc and less than grade A-C in advanced level will be ineligible for a subject course.

Intelligibility Conditions
- Rejected twice by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB)/General Headquarters (GHQ)/Naval Headquarters (NHQ)/Air Headquarters (AHQ) Selection Board, or once by ISSB and once by GHQ/NHQ/AHQ.
- Withdrawn/discharged/resigned or purchased commission from any Armed Forces academy/training institution.
- Withdrawn from bonded Armed Forces college/institution on disciplinary grounds.
- Dismissed/removed from government service, including Armed Forces.
- Convicted in court for a heinous offense (verified by military authority).
- Permanently declared unfit by the Appeal Medical Board (AMB). Declared unfit by any Armed Forces hospital unless cleared by AMB (PAF candidates unfit for flying but fit for ground branches may reapply).
- Medically unfit due to Hepatitis B/C (AMB cannot overturn).
- Diploma holders.
- Currently studying in Armed Forces institutions/academies, nominated under reserve defense quota, or enrolled as paying cadets in technical colleges.
- Tested within 120 days of previous ISSB attempt (waiver possible for some candidates).
Registration and Preliminary Selection Procedure
Registration Methods:
Online:
- Visit the Join Pak Army website at www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk.
- Exam slips are generated within 5–7 working days.
- Report on assigned date/time with documents.
In-Person:
Visit the nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Center (AS&RC) with the required documents.
Preliminary Selection:
Intelligence/Academic Tests:
- Multiple-choice questions (English, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry).
- Computer Science students are tested on Computer Studies/Sciences.
Physical Tests:
- 1.5 km run in 8 minutes.
- 15 push-ups in 2 minutes.
- 20 sit-ups in 2 minutes.
- 3 chin-ups in 2 minutes.
- Ditch crossing (7.4’ x 7.4’ x 4’ deep).
Preliminary Medical Test: Conducted at AS&RCs.
Further Selection Procedure
- Shortlisted candidates called for Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) tests.
- Medical examination at Combined Military Hospitals (CMHs) for ISSB-recommended candidates.
- Final selection by GHQ based on overall performance.
- Discipline allocation: Merit-cum-choice basis (no changes allowed post-submission).
Academic and Military Training

- Military College of Engineering: Civil Engineering.
- Military College of Signals: Electrical, Software, and Information Security Engineering.
- College of EME: Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Systems, Mechatronics Engineering.
- College of Aeronautical Engineering: Aeronautical Engineering.
- Degree Program: 4-year Bachelor of Engineering.
- Military Training: 1 year at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), Kakul, post-degree.
Documents Required
- Original/certified copies of Matric/FSc/equivalent certificates (O/A Level requires IBCC equivalence).
- Attested domicile/Family Registration Certificate/NADRA verification.
- CNIC (or Form B with guardian’s CNIC for under 18).
- Attested photocopies of all documents (both sides).
- 3 attested passport-sized photos (1 front, 2 back).
- ISSB “Not Recommended” letter (for repeaters only).
Additional Information
Bond: 13-year service bond on Rs. 100 e-stamp paper, attested by magistrate/notary.
